BHŪTA YOGA
METHOD
DISCOVER THE ANCIENT PRINCIPLES & TECHNIQUES WE APPLY TO HARMONIZE
EVERY LAYER OF YOUR BEING

OUR APPROACH
Inspired by traditional methods of inner alchemy, Bhūta Yoga integrates classical Tantrik Haṭha Yoga techniques with elemental awareness and purification. The revered Tantrik practice of Bhūta Śuddhi, energy cultivation practices of Haṭha Yoga, and classical teachings from the Yoga Sutras influence the core philosophy & methodology of our school. Our practices aim to harmonize and transmute the five elements—Earth (Pṛthvī), Water (Āpas), Fire (Tejas/Agni), Air or Wind (Vāyu), and Space (Ākāśa)—within the body, breath, mind, and subtle energy system.

Yoga is the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind-stuff.
THE METHOD
Bhūta Śuddhi is a daily energetic ritual to purify and dissolve each of the 5 Elements back into their Source. Since each bhūta (element) is connected to one of our sense organs, this results in pratyāhāra - the withdrawal & internalization of the senses. Pratyāhāra is the gateway between the outer practices of yoga and inner stages, subsequently leading to awareness of one's true nature. Traditionally, this includes practices of nyāsa (placement of mantras in the body), mantra-japa for each element, visualization & concentration (dharana), and chakra-dhyāna (absorption into the subtle body).
Bhūta Yoga weaves together the traditional teachings of Yoga, the ritual science of Bhūta Śuddhi, and the energy cultivation practices from Haṭha Yoga - āsana, prāṇāyāma, bandha, mudrā, kriyā - to provide a complete method for energetic mastery & spiritual transformation.
