What to expect....

A retreat like "The Five Elements Practitioner Immersion" is meant only for those sincere seekers who are ready to seriously transform themselves and their lives.  In this program, Grant Ifflander, founder of the Bhūta Yoga Academy, and Keepers of the Earth School of Yoga & Mystical Arts, guides you deep into the heart of traditional Tantrik Hatha Yoga and the core practice of Bhūta Śuddhi -- the revered Tantrik ritual of Elemental Purification and Inner Alchemy.

This isn't just another "Yoga Retreat"

...We are popping the hood to look at what is actually underneath "modern" Yoga and establishing a firm foundation to stand on: first as practitioners, and then as transmitters of this sacred wisdom.

The curriculum of our retreat and what we will be learning, studying and practicing is based on the Five Mahābhūtas -- Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space -- and how they live within your body, mind and breath.

The difference between this retreat and others is that you will be introduced to material and practices that you can work with over time, and you will have a co-hort of practitioners with which to remain inspired and connected, even as the retreat itself ends.

During our retreats, we address each area of your development systematically and progressively.

If you apply yourself, you will receive tools that you can take with you for a very long time to completely transform on all levels: from the physical, to the energetic, to the emotional, to the mental, to the spiritual.

During the retreat, we cover:

  • The Yogic and Tantrik science of Bhūta Śuddhi

  • Elemental Meditations, Chakra mantras, Prānāyāma & Kriyā techniques, intelligent āsana sequencing & vinyāsa krama, guidance for personal sādhana

  • How to align your practice with Nature's rhythm and the subtle body

  • Direct teachings from scripture such as: the Yoga Sūtras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and other Tantrik and Hatha Yoga texts

  • The challenges and pitfalls to the path and how to overcome them

  • Facilitation techniques, circling, and holding space

  • Ayurveda & Vedic astrology

  • The Art & Science of Ritual Technology

  • The Science of Sound & Mantra

  • Traditional fire ritual (yagña)

  • ... and much more! (each program is partially tailored to the needs & level of the co-hort)
